Project Description:
The Shell Groundbirch Substation (SGB) is a 230 kV substation that links the East and West portions of the newly-energized double-circuit Dawson Creek to Chetwynd Area Transmission Line (DCAT). The station is located on the south side of Highway 97 approximately 41 km east of Chetwynd BC, and is the leading option to supply energy from the new Site C substation to BC Hydro's power grid.
